On the first Friday of each month we have a General Membership Steering Meeting to disseminate information about upcoming events and to conduct any necessary business.

After the meeting we share wine and beer and a potluck and get to know each other better. All members, speakers and guests are welcome.

Meeting protocol:

When: 6:30 PM Date [first Friday of the month] *

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Be on time.

  • Bring a dish (appetiser, side dish or salad, or dessert) to share, plus your serving utensils for the dish

  • Bring something to BBQ,

  • Bring your own table-ware

  • Bring a bottle of wine or a six-pack of beer per person to share - bring an extra bottle of wine if you want a bottle of wine with your dinner at your table - do NOT take a bottle from the serving/sample table

 GETTING HERE: The Atascadero Grange Hall is located on the Street behind the Atascadero Water Co. From HWY 101, take the San Anselmo off ramp and turn right onto El Camino Real or take the Traffic Way off ramp and turn left. Turn onto San Jacinto (5500 block) at the San Jacinto Center. Turn right at the next street (Palma). The Grange Hall parking Jot is a Short distance on your left.

REMEMBER: Wear your name badges to the meetings and make it a habit to check the lost and found.


* Basic Schedule:

         6:30-7:00 Social Period
         7:00- ?? Meeting - Note: Sample table/bar is closed during the meeting
         8:00- ?? Dinner

** Host & Co-Host (Duties, etc.):

  • Arrive between 5:30 & 6:00 pm to open the doors and start setting up the meeting area, turning on the stove, turning on the AC or heat
  • Set up the appetisers, then set up the main meal and dessert section, then clean up
  • When the meeting is over, the Host & Co-Host ensure all tables, chairs, etc are back in storage, the trash is dumped, the place is left in clean and orderly manner.
  • As a "payment for their work" any leftover wine and/or beer is divided between the host and co-host to take home.
  • At the end of the evening, the Host turns all the boxes (lost & found & supplies), cooler chests and the building key over to the Co-Host.
