Welcome to Wines and Steins

Wines and Steins is a home Beer and Wine making group located in the Paso Robles Wine Region of San Luis Obispo, CA.  Our focus is the promotion, education, and enjoyment of hand crafted wines and beers.  

History

Wines and Steins was started in the late spring of 1979 by a group of home winemakers in the Willow Creek area of rural Paso Robles CA. They felt that it would be rewarding to get together to share their knowledge of wine and beer making.

It didn't take long for the membership to expand all over the North County with a sprinkling of members from Central and South County cities. Also many wineries and industry related businesses are corporate members. We now have over 200 members.

On the first Friday of each month we have a General Membership Meeting to disseminate information about upcoming events and to conduct any necessary business. After the meeting we share wine and beer and a potluck and get to know each other better. All members and guests are welcome.

During the month we have various events such as; tastings, visitations to wineries, technical seminars and workshops, and social events.

Club members mentor first time wine and beer makers. We encourage our members to enter their wine and beer in various state and local competitions.
